Abi & Joe | Beautiful Autumnal Wedding | The Carriage Hall

I was lucky enough to do the wedding invitations and stationery for a lovely couple in October 2019, here’s the overview of their October wedding in Nottingham.

I met with Abi & Joe back in the Spring of 2019, after their engagement the summer before. They were recommended to me by Abi’s brother, after having their wedding invitations from me a couple of years previously (blog on that to follow soon!) The 3 of us sat down one evening to discuss what they wanted, while we chatted over a cuppa and my sample box of goodies. They liked a few and while they were looking we discussed mixing some of the styles to suit them. Abi then stumbled upon the Lydia spring floral wedding invitation and we talked about changing the colours to be rich, deep reds, burgundys & plum to match their flowers. She was sold! It’s not very often couples can envision the changes discussed, but these guys did!

So, after choosing the Lydia style I set to work re-colouring to suit their October wedding and came up with some lovely extra details; such as using a matching all over print on the back of the invitation, information card & RSVP card to bring the colour into this style more.

Their invitations went out early in the spring of 2019, and as guest replies started landing on the lovely couple’s door mat, we started to look at their on the day stationery. Abi & Joe were keen to keep everything the same style as their invitations, and when I saw the photos of their big day, I could see why. Everything sat beautifully together, the flowers, suits, dresses, decor, the couple chose the perfect Autumnal style, and it looks beautiful.
